Sports Museum of Dutchess County: Located on the first floor level of the Frances Reese Cultural Center, is the Hudson Valley's only sports museum!  In 2016, the Museum reopened to the public as a destination museum in Dutchess County. After being closed for over a year due to extensive renovations, The museum has announced its new permanent exhibition, Legends of Dutchess. Exhibits within Legends of Dutchess include highlighting over a dozen athletes who made it to the professional level in sports from Dutchess County as well as artifacts on almost 20 different sports with impacts on Dutchess County history.

Sports Museum of Dutchess County Hall of Fame Snack Bar: Located among the Sports Museum of Dutchess County hall of fame inductees are delicious snacks and drinks from the game! Our All Star Menu of bagged Cracker Jacks, chips, popcorn, candy, water, and soda will make you think you’re actually in the stadium rooting for your favorite team! Either take it to go or pull up a chair and look out on the Hudson Valley! We are a stop on every Sports Museum of Dutchess County tour!


Carnwath Manor, Carriage House, and Ice House: The 1850 pre-restoration mansion and the previously mentioned structures are closed to the public at this time for restoration. 


Tips for your visit!

Parking: When visiting the Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park grounds, we ask you to please park in the Lower Visitor Parking Lot (to the right of the Carnwath Manor), if this lot is filled please park in the Upper Additional Parking Lot, not on the road. If you are visiting the Sports Museum of Dutchess County or any of its attractions, please also park your vehicle in the Lower Visitor Parking Lot


Accessibility: Here at Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park, the Friends of Carnwath and the Sports Museum of Dutchess County strive to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, we also try to make our grounds, public structures, and trails as accessible as possible. Food and Beverage: Throughout Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park we have strategically located picnic tables (ADA accessible) and benches overlooking the majestic Hudson River. The Hall of Fame Snack Bar has bagged snacks, bottled water and soda available for purchase.
